Abstract
|
|
|
The results of research on the pharmacological concept about the sedative effect of Polygalae Radix are as follows:
1. There is the theory that the sedative effect is shown by the coordination between heart- system and kidney-system through the recovery of heart-yang based on the removing of phlegm.
2. There is the theory that the sedative effect is shown by interrelationship with heart-system of kidney-qi.
3. There is the theory that the recovery of heart-yang and the coordination between heart-system and kidney-system is mediated by the middle-burn.
4. By comparing these theory it can be thought that the removing of phlegm theory is the most possible answer to the question about the pharmacological concept of sedative effect of Polygalae Radix.
5. For final conclusion there must be the experimental proof.
